Morning Transitions Quickstart
Tap each step as you do it tomorrow morning. Spot the clue, say the words, name the win. You do not have to do all four to see a change.
Say this
"I see you're not ready to stop yet. That part is hard."
Do it: Pick the one switch that goes worst. Just one. That is where the plan starts.
Say this
"Two more minutes, then shoes."
Do it: Set a timer your child can see or hear. Say the warning once. Do not repeat it five times.
Say this
"Shoes first or coat first?"
Do it: Offer two options you are happy with. Then step back and count to 30 in your head.
Say this
"You stopped when I asked. That was hard and you did it."
Do it: Say it out loud before you leave the house. Ten seconds is enough.
I Do / We Do / You Do
I Do — Tonight, read Step 2 and Step 3 out loud once, alone.
We Do — Tomorrow, walk your child through the two steps with you.
You Do — By day three, your child starts the routine and you only cue Step 2.
