Day 1 — The House Is Finally Quiet
It's almost bedtime, and some of us are still carrying the whole day on our shoulders.
A kind word for tonight
The house is finally quiet, but the laundry's on the chair. There's a cup beside the couch and toys are everywhere. You handled one more question, one more tear, one more delay. And nobody saw the effort that it took to end this day.
Before we stress, let's assess
Before we stress, let's assess. A hard evening is not proof that you failed; a tired family may need a simpler routine.
Step 1. Tonight’s reset
STOP: pause.
BREATHE: slow it down.
SAY WHAT THEY NEED: "We can leave the mess and rest now."
Step 2. I DO → WE DO → YOU DO
I DO: model it.
WE DO: practice together.
YOU DO: try with support.
Step 3. One small action
Choose one chore to leave for morning.
Tomorrow, we can practice again. Spot the clue. Know what to do. We made it through the day.
