Day 10 — The Thyroid Survivor Is Tired
Before you call today a failure, I want you to hear this.
A kind word for tonight
My body carried a hard story before this day began. I'm caring for my family and still doing what I can. Some evenings I move slowly; some plans need to be small. Being a thyroid survivor doesn't mean I never tire at all.
Before we stress, let's assess
Before we stress, let's assess. Living with a health history and caregiver responsibilities can make rest especially important.
Step 1. Tonight’s reset
STOP: check your limits.
BREATHE: slow down.
SAY WHAT YOU NEED: "I need to slow down tonight."
Step 2. I DO → WE DO → YOU DO
I DO: name it.
WE DO: share the load.
YOU DO: choose one step.
Step 3. One small action
Choose a restful activity, and discuss persistent fatigue with your clinician.
Your needs matter too. We made it through the day.
