4pm Wheels Off — bright + funny kit
Pivot: stop the dark/sad hooks. This one is funny, warm, relatable — and the fix is the punchline.
Why the dark videos flopped (6 views):
- • Thumbnails were heavy → people scroll past sad faces.
- • Hooks led with PAIN (“I want to cry”) → moms already feel that, they don't click MORE of it.
- • No humor = no shares. Shares = reach.
New rule: bright colors, smiling-mom thumbnail, funny hook, fix is the payoff.

60-second Short script
[HOOK — 0:00–0:03] POV: it's 4pm and the wheels are coming off. AGAIN. [BEAT 1 — 0:03–0:10] *shows messy kitchen, kid #1 crying, kid #2 yelling, dog barking, you holding a cold coffee* Every. Single. Day. [BEAT 2 — 0:10–0:20] So I stopped trying to FIX it. And started doing this 10-second reset instead: Step 1: Stop. Don't talk. Don't fix. Step 2: Snack + water. Every kid. No questions. Step 3: One log in my phone — two taps. Step 4: Pick ONE small thing for tonight. ONE. [BEAT 3 — 0:20–0:35] After a week I had a pattern: my kid melts down at 4pm because LUNCH was at 11:30 and the snack at 2 wasn't enough. Sugar crash. Not "bad behavior." A SNACK problem. [BEAT 4 — 0:35–0:50] So now? Big snack at 3:15. Same snack. Same time. Wheels stay ON. I'm not magic. I just stopped guessing. [CTA — 0:50–0:60] Link in bio. The app that finds your kid's pattern. Free. Built by a tired mom. Save this for tomorrow at 4. 💛
6-minute long-form script
INTRO (0:00–0:30) 4pm. The witching hour. Your kid is melting down, the other kid is hungry, you haven't peed since 10am, and the dog wants out. Today I want to show you the ridiculously simple 4-step reset that fixed THE worst hour of my day. No printables. No yoga. No "deep breaths together" (those make it worse, let's be honest). THE PROBLEM (0:30–1:15) Here's the thing nobody tells you. The 4pm meltdown isn't bad behavior. It isn't bad parenting. It's a SYSTEM problem — and once you see it, you can fix it in about 3 days. Most kids' brains crash at 4pm for a real reason: blood sugar dip, end-of-day overload, transition from school/screens to home. Their brain is asking for a reset. They just don't have the words. So you get the meltdown instead. STEP 1 — STOP (1:15–2:00) The first move is the hardest. Don't fix it. Don't talk it out. Don't explain why we don't hit our sister. Just stop. 10 seconds of silence from you. Hands down. Phone down. Just there. This drops the temperature in the room by half before you do anything else. STEP 2 — SNACK + WATER (2:00–3:00) Same snack. Same time. Every day. Not a "treat" — a real one. Protein + fat. Cheese stick + apple. Peanut butter toast. Whatever YOUR kid will actually eat. You're not bribing. You're refueling. A hungry brain can't regulate. Mine either. That's why I have coffee at 3. STEP 3 — LOG IT IN 2 TAPS (3:00–4:00) Open Bright Steps. Tap what was happening. Tap how big it got. Done. Do that for 3 days. The app will tell you what you can't see — because you're too tired to see it. Maybe it's 4pm. Maybe it's always after screens end. Maybe it's when the baby naps and your big kid has to be quiet. That's the trigger. That's the lock. Now we have the key. STEP 4 — PICK ONE THING (4:00–5:00) This is where most parenting advice gets it wrong. Twelve strategies = zero done. The app gives you ONE. The most likely to work for YOUR kid this week. You try it. We track if it helped. We tweak. For us it was: big snack at 3:15 with protein. That's it. That was the whole fix. WHAT TO DO RIGHT NOW (5:00–6:00) The link is below this video. It's free. No card. No diagnosis required. Log the next 4pm when it happens. By Sunday you'll have your first pattern. You don't need to be a better parent. You need better data on the kid you've got.
