Caregiver Motivation

I’M So Far Behind

Caregiver… You ever look around and think: “How did I get THIS far behind?”

Step 1. What's happening

Caregiver…

You ever look around and think:

“How did I get THIS far behind?”

Laundry.

Appointments.

Emails.

School paperwork.

Work.

The house.

Your goals.

And every unfinished thing feels like it’s calling your name.

Then your brain gets so overwhelmed…

you don’t know where to start.

Step 2. Behavior clues

Matthew 6:34 KJV says:

“Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.”

In other words—

Stop trying to carry tomorrow with today’s strength.

Step 4. STOP → BREATHE → SAY WHAT THEY NEED

  1. SORT

Make three groups:

Today. Later. Not necessary.

  1. START

Choose ONE thing from today.

Not ten.

One.

  1. FINISH

Give yourself permission to finish one thing before touching the next.

Step 5. I DO → WE DO → YOU DO

  1. I Do — Show it first: Sort out loud so they can see you do it.
  1. We Do — Practice Start together on a calm day.
  1. You Do — Try Finish on your own today, one small time.

Step 6. Try this tonight

Caregiver…

You don’t have to catch up with your entire life this morning.

Handle today.

Then let tomorrow meet you tomorrow.

One call.

One form.

One load.

One step.

Small progress still moves you forward.

💜 Before we stress, let’s assess.

Spot the clue. Know what to do.
